HTF' HTQS-FS4CE is een parallelle 40Gb/s Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable (QSFP plus) optische module en ontworpen voor 30km optische communicatietoepassingen. De module converteert 4 ingangskanalen (ch) van 10Gb/s elektrische data naar 4 CWDM optische signalen, en multiplext ze naar een enkel kanaal voor 40Gb/s optische transmissie. Omgekeerd, aan de kant van de ontvanger, de-multiplext de module optisch een 40Gb/s-ingang in 4 CWDM-kanaalsignalen en converteert deze naar 4-kanaals elektrische uitgangsgegevens.
